The PlanetManager is an algorithm that will automatically restart the extractor control units on your PI planets. You must have already placed all of your ECUs on your planets and be familiar with how PI works. PlanetManager can be used as a useful addon to the miner or trader, or as a stand alone program. To use the PlanetManger as a stand alone program you must complete a first run, unless you have already completed a first run on this client for the miner. You must select 'PlanetManager' for the client on the front page as shown:

If you want to use PlanetManager as an addition to the miner or trader, you should select the EVEMiner or EVETrader function instead. This way the PlanetManager will only restart the extractor control units of your planets when you dock in station. As miner may be used in multiclient mode, it is unsafe to start updating planets on one client while another clients are floating in space. To avoid this situation PI addon for miner is activated during 'idle' timer only. Set the same 'idle' timer for each client and all of miners will go to a station or POS to update planets at the same time.

To setup PlanetManager, click the Settings button and open the 'Planet Manager Addon Settings' panel:

• First you must enable the planet explorer function by checking 'Enable Planet Explorer Function'.
• Setup your planets.
• PlanetManager cannot rotate planets, only zoom in on them. You must make sure that your extractor control units are visible when you click the ' Home' button in the planet view and the planet is zoomed out.
• Set the 'Zoom Level' to be able to see all of the extractor control units on all of the planets. One zoom is one zoom-out click on your keyboard when in planet view. Zooming using keyboard does not work correctly due to eve bug.
• PlanetManager has two modes: learning mode and production mode. During learning mode PlanetManager will search the planet for extractors and store the information about structure coordinates to file. To check that a structures are extractor control units the PlanetManager will open an info window.
• 'Brute force ON' should be checked if PlanetManager did not find all of your extractors and does not restart them during the production mode. If you switch brute force ON, PlanetManager will not analyze the geometry of the extractor control units but try to open the info windows where blue color is found. Links have the same color as the extractor control units so the brute force method will make more misclicks but it will finally find all of the extractor control units.
• 'Setup Extractors Position Manually' is the fastest way to teach PlanetManager. All you need to do is right click on all of your structures manually, when asked. The right click will be registered by PlanetManager and the coordinates will be saved as the structure coordinates. The info window will tell PlanetManager the type of structure found. To finish the setup of the planet manually, you need to right click command center then PlanetManager will switch to another planet.
• The 'Erase Planets' button will reorganized your planets and erase all the planets data.
• 'Planet Update Interval (sec.)' is the extractor renewal time. This should be shorter than the installed program time.
• After PlanetManager has processed each planet and knows the position of the extractor control units, it will automatically restart the extraction program. Don't forget that you have to select your program, resources to extract, position of heads etc. manually.
