EVETrader Buy orders update interval takes hours? 1 г., 4 мес. назад Репутация: 0
I found the buy order update intervals are very long at the moment, some items takes hours till next update which makes it almost impossible to get any,

For example in this log is says update interval is 223 mins. Although in the buy order installer the update interval is set to 5-10 mins it doesn't seem to have any effect:

Order was updated 65 min ago, next update after 157 min. Update count: 4, total update fee: 2.40, current update interval: 223 min

Yes, buy order update interval takes hours if update count increases. You pay a fee for each update. Orders with high update count will be updated once a day. If order not purchased in a while and you have order statistics and order maintenance enabled, bot will cancel order and blacklist bad orders to not use for a while.

Good positions require just 1-3 updates till purchase. There are quite a lot of these items, more then 100 corresponding to my stats. Setup trader to update orders once per start and do 2-3 starts a day. This is more then enough.

Thank you! About Market Analyzer there are columns called "24B, 72B, 24S, 72S" what do the values of these columns mean? For example some items have value of "335/0", some have "050/53" etc.

I guess these represent items being bought/sold in 24/72 hours? Basically I'm trying to find items that have a high volume on both buy/sell to make a good profit, ideally the sell vs buy volume ratio should be within a range(I think 1.0 to 4.0) to keep it going, otherwise it either too hard to sell items you buy or too hard to buy any as people would always want to sell at a higher price.

I see the "Total Profit isk/day" column but not sure if these are calculated correctly or being useful. For example "Compressed Azure Plagioclase" has a pretty good estimation of about 700m of profit/day, however most of the trade volume is buy orders which means it's very hard to sell any for the selling price, even if the profit says more than 20%.

My idea was to compare average trade volume for one day and summ of not abandoned order volumes updated in the past 24h and 72h. I have found some interesting data, but the number of items found by this scheme was not enough to make autotrader rely on just this data.

I use different approach now. Autotraders collect statistics for each item they used to trade. Best items may be sorted by the number of successful purchases in statistics form. As a rule selling items is not bottleneck. Then you can use this sorted list to edit standard trader tasks. The more autotraders you have the faster you find best items. Of cause I can speed this up and show my list, but ...

That's very interesting! I think Adam4eve has something similar by comparing trading volume between days:

dev.adam4eve.eu/margin_finder.php?cpage=1

So if you check A4E tracker: Volume, "BuyfSell" means how much volume is being bought from existing orders in a day, and "Sold2Buy" means how much is being sold to the buy orders. It has a Buy/Sold ratio so if the ratio is greater than 1, it means more items were bought by people from sell orders, than sold to buy orders. Which is generally good if the ratio not being too high.

I think it snapshots from EVE API hourly to get the estimated volume, not 100% precise, but the trend is good enough to tell and matches the trade graph in game
