Hello all,
At Slav2's request I am posting information concerning how I run EVE Pilot in OSX using virtualization software.
HOST
MacBook Pro running Mac OS X 10.6.6 (Snow Leopard)
2.5 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo
4 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM
250 GB 7200 RPM HDD
Parallels 6.0.11992
GUEST
OS: Windows XP Pro SP3
CPU: 1 CPU
MEM: 1.5 GB
Optimization:
- Faster virtual machine
- Enable Adaptive Hypervisor
- Tune Windows for Speed
- Better Performance
Hardware:
- 256 MB video memory
- Enable 3D acceleration
With these settings EVE runs very well and EVE Pilot runs very well. I have not tried multiple clients inside the virtual machine but I would imagine it wouldn't be a problem. The only issues that arise are periodic slowdowns and delays concerning disk i/o, which could be solved with a faster RPM drive.
If you have any questions or comments, please leave them here and I will try to answer anything I can. Thank you!
