Expanding on this thread could you tell me if its possible to do the following.

I would like to add all faction items but exclude Ammo, Tags and Insignia's?

I understand if I select Ship equipment, type Caldari Navy in the search box, have 'Apply RegEx Filter to Group Selector' ticked then click RegEx it should only add all Caldari Ship Equipment but currently it adds all Caldari Navy items, 117 items, including ammo, tags, insignia's etc.

Is the RegEx not working with the Group Filter? Can i use the exlude expression to exclude key words like Insignia, Tag etc?

You need to add group as usual, regex filter will apply to this selection if option Apply RegEx filter to group selector is ticked
