Hey slav how does eve trader pick the items on the market to buy and sell?

Is this something we have to do ourselves? do we have to put up buy and sell orders and it just maintains them?

I did read the help but some more detail would be good.

Yes, you decide what to buy and what to sell. Bot maintain existing orders only.

0.01 isk game is common practice in Jita. I can add variation to increase or decrease price by 1-0.01 isks although.

yeah adding 1-0.01 isk var would be good. that way theres a good amount of difference between everyone.

Now when picking an item are we looking for something with at least 15-20% profit. because the trader will varify the buyorders by up to 5% and the sell orders by up to 5% so with a 10% variation.

is that correct?

Will the trader relist the items it has bought?

You can set limits by profit to skip non-profitable orders. Sometimes situation change and your order with 15-20% profit became non profitable. Better to manually check what to do, for example you can cancel non-profitable order or sell items to buyers (and save brokers fee). Trader is not a machine you can start and forget, then count money.
Will the trader relist the items it has bought? No, trader does not create new orders. You do this manually. Some items can be easily bought but really difficult sold. If bot start to create orders on the basis of those filled, bot can spend all money quite fast.

So how much time do you think needs to be spent watching or how often should we check on it
