I have a miner character and a trader character, and I am running them on the same computer. I am not having any problems as it switches between the characters. I am new to trader, and I am not sure how it its working as it is still collecting market data. I think I chose too many items to have it look at.

Trader and miner will not work good together at the same comp. You can try but while trader is working, miner will do nothing. Also you may have errors if miner will not work at all after about 30 minutes. You will need to install limited number of orders only and export limited number of market positions.

Bot reacts not very good when one client takes control for a long time as trader does. Another client may generate error due to timeouts. If you have not so much orders per trader, you may use both traders on the same comp and switch between them. I was thinking about picking up trader to use but I want to be sure I understand this - I don't run miner all the time, just a few hours a day. If I am not running miner and decide to run Trader, will the set ups conflict if I'm using one eve installation? In other words, are the first run for both miner and trader the same? Or will I have to run the first run each time I want to switch programs?

I'd be running them on completely seperate accounts, so in theory the way miner sets up the interface for the account I use for it should not effect the way trader sets up its interface... right?
