I would have liked the deliverer to visit all the stations in a system to collect goods.
ie:
System1<
System2>
System3>
Is it designed to do this? Should I delete all links except for the home system station?

Not designed. It is using station bookmark or top station when sorted by name and if no green bookmarks present.

So if I bookmark all the stations in a solar system, will it visit them all? Or only the top (green) bookmarked?

Top bookmark. This is defined by algorithm (using warping to station instead of warping to location with parameter - number of bookmark where to warp). You can change algorithm to do what you want. Atm I am working on improvements to miner and have no time to look into deliverer algorithm.
