Depending on the hull you're using frigate, cruiser etc) just use the Quick Start options and then customise from there. DO NOT run bot without sitting watching it go for 5/6 runs.

Did you do the Quick Start settings?
Only ting I have found between all my characters is SP/DPS.
Use injectors or just wait, either way, the default setup is actually surprisingly good.
