When I start EVEPILOT.exe, after the trial notification I get this crash message. It seems to me that it can't choose a language and there is no fallthrough for a default language.

I am using .NET 3.5 but is it possible that I could use Mono?

You cannot use Mono as Windows API is required for some functional and Mono may not support it. Standard .Net version is .Net 3.5 SP1 for this program. Download link is here
