I love to experiment.
For the purpose of this test, I will have a character hereinafter designated as
Courier form a fleet with another character designated as
Leech.
Courier will perform a courier mission for a distribution agent for a corporation that
Leech has zero standing, said corporation being the member of a faction in which the
Leech also has a zero standing. During the mission,
Leech will remain in a station at least four jumps from the mission. Upon the completion of the mission,
Courier will select share with fleet. Inspection of the journal will reveal if cash reward was shared with
Leech. Inspection of standings will reveal if qualitative changes to standings result in a non zero value.
I will report back soon with the results of my experiment.
The test has been completed, it was a level 2 courier mission in low sec that required
Courier making a delivery to the next system.
Leech remained docked in station 12 jumps away in space belonging to a different faction.
- The dialog box says that the rewards may be shared equally with up to 10 members of the fleet.
- The cash journal for Leech shows that he received half for the cash reward and half of the time bonus cash reward.
- The journal of agents loyalty points shows Leech receiving half of the LP.
- The standings show a qualitative change for the corp, changing from zero to 1.61 due to Leech having connections 4.
- There was no qualitative change in factional standing for Leech.
Based upon my test results, I believe that it is currently beneficial to provide fleet support for Courier.
