Anything that would help with prioritizing asteroids and switching between them would be enormously helpful. Do I want to mine spodumain? Sure, if there's no more Arkonor, Bistot, Crokite, etc... The only issue I see with having 1 miner per type is that the ABCs don't spawn in nearly the same volume. If you're mining for 6+ hours a day, you'll bottom out on the Bistot long before the spod. With the respawn timer at 3-4 days, one of your miners would be idle for a while.

Minesalot, are you actively working on this?

Yeah no, not really. I spent a very short ammount of time in a wormhole. Had to replace more ships in 1 week than i have in the passed 6 months. So I abandoned that money pit and relocated to a different system. Still hi-sec for now. Until i can build up a better nest egg and move into a rented null-sec system, maybe.

Something like this isn't on my most wanted list because I mine in High Sec, rendering it unnecessary. It is something that would be a good project for someone starting out though. I'm currently working on something a lot more complex with nearly universal applicability, so I don't think it is something I'll make in the near future.

Where/how could I get started on this? I don't really have any experience with AHK, but I have some programming experience. I would be happy to take a crack at it!

Hindsight, I should have written down the numbers. It would make it more meaningful, I know.

1st test. 4 hour run
Booster on 1 VM
3 on 1 VM. 2 hulks 1 looter. Tank mode, hulks jetting, Looter set to run 1 hr longer. Set to drop into compression array.
2 on another VM both hulks. Set to drop into POS large ship array.

The large ship array had more ore. Much more.

Test 2. 4 hour run
All different VMs
Booster
1 hulk jet BM's shared 1-10
1 hulk jet BM's shared 1-10
1 hulk POS BM's shared 11-20
1 hulk POS BM's shared 11-20
1 Looter set to warp to BM's shared 1-10 start at 20 minutes, run for 1hr longer than 2-3 vm.

Large ship array had more ore. Not as big of a difference. But significantly.

Test 3. 4 hour run
All different VMs
Booster
1 skiff POS compression array BM's shared 1-10
1 skiff POS compression array BM's shared 1-10
1 skiff POS large assembly array BM's shared 11-20
1 skiff POS large assembly array BM's shared 11-20
Looter not logged in

Both arrays were equal in ore.

I've had similar issues with the Looter, but I initially thought that was cause it was on the same VM as my miners. Why do you think the looter is worse, even when the Looter was in a separate VM? It's counterintuitive, especially with the Hulk, where it can fill it's orehold in 1-2 cycles. I would expect it to lose >50% of its mining time to travel. Is the looter taking so long that it's letting cans pop? Did the logs reveal anything?
