Been tempted by mining for a long time, but always been a bit concerned about getting banned ect ect.. just wondered whats the success rate like? do people make lots n lots of isk and never get caught? is it rare to get caught or a common occurrence?

I've been running macros for about 6 years now, and I have never been warned or banned. I don't keep track of my isk income, but it keeps my 3 accounts running

RMT in MMOs

There is a comment from EVE's chief economist towards the end of the article.

This suggests to me that they don't care as long as you don't hassle other players and get reported.

Beat newsive had all day! How long does it take to get an alt up and running so it can support it self and my main? In regard to skill training?

I've been MM for 2 years 4 accounts, only mine 5 days a week for about 8-12hrs per day, never been warned mailed,been ganked once but jewed on his loss which made up for it, same 4 systems, seen a few others using same program in my systems, wonder if they seen me

Was banned twice last year and lost 10 accounts (5 and 5, half year in between). 23/7 mining, no PC avoid, no any safety measures besides 4 system traveling route (to find ore of cause) were applied. Some bots mined in noobie systems also (poor noobies). The idea was to check if CCP ban botters when they dont see any transactions between bots. They ban. Dont mine 23/7 and get other ideas how to hide your presence.
