yeh pointless, best to run mining cruisers during the 2 week event.

They go in with suicide gank ships. Their entire goal is to blow you up.
So i'm not sure it would be worth the risk to try and tank their attack.

Then the question is, regardless of what mining ship you use, if EVE Miner is fast enough to warp back to base or logout before the first shot.
That's assuming you set the avoidance to ALL ships.
I still don't understand how they can do enough damage in the 5 seconds before CONCORD shows up and blast them. But then I don't do pvp so I don't really know.

Lots of cheap ships say 20 ish maybe - say destroyers, and all commence firing at the same time. the initial alpha hit followed by second round of shots does a lot of damage, if not kill. and cost very little for them to replace.
