So the problem is that even if you bookmark 300 k from centre of the asteroid belt the mining ship will try to unload at the mining station ..which is less than 150k away, so the mining ship just approaches the station which of course takes forever. Same goes for if you use the loot bot.I might be wrong if someone has worked out how to mine the roids and warp to the refinery then please tell me.. because I would love to know.

I ran 2 solutions, and both worked.

1. Place a research station in same system.
• Miners or loot bot uses the research station as the Home Station.
• Personally, this is my favourite because its simple. I use Indy Capital to transport it back to the refinery to use the reprocessing bonuses.

2. Use an Indy Cap like an Orca in the middle of the belt and manually mine with drones and drag the can the miners have jetted. Plus, use mining boosters and implants.
• Worked fine had no problems ( except one )
• Warped with full Orca to moon then back and docked at refinery.
• But it is manual and I don’t like to actually do mining manually as its mind numbingly boring and I found myself contemplating finding a large wild animal to stick my head in its hungry mouth after about 2 hours.

Tips that may help that I have used.

I. When the moon lump / fragment is ready to be broken/blasted, go out in a fast ship and bookmark the top – bottom – left and right edges of it. When it explodes it tends to be an ovoid shape and the asteroids ( I have 20% reduction in spread rig installed) go past the bookmarks by about 20 – 40 k ( I’ve only done 3 so far so that is my best observation). Also it stops more than one miner, mining the dame rock at the same time. You only have to do this once as the lump explodes in the same place each time.
II. I turn off all low-level asteroids to mine in bot settings. You don’t want to be mining scord when there’s fuck tonnes of rare moon rock.
III. Even with my 50% decay rig on I noticed that roids can disappear within 3 days, so I set priority to rare moon minerals by unchecking all asteroids in settings. (works ok for me). Then the next day run adding the two rare asteroids.
IV. Use drones, I don’t know if its my system but I was constantly chaining NPC’s and I checked “loot faction” in setting, got 2 nice modules in my first days mining.
V. Also during incursions rats will come to the your belt.. be warned.. I nearly took one out with my refinery missile launchers but charge was to big needed smaller missiles. So could be a possibility of chaining them daily if u have a point and web fitted. Perhaps a super tanking ship just in range of the station repairers.. I’m prepping for the next incursion lol.

Anyway if anyone has anything else to add to the thread PLEASE do

Never dealt with moon mining. Can you warp to refinery from belt? If no create station boormark (first) at 300km from refinery. Activate dock after warp. Bot will warp to bookmark, detect that station is not in approach distance and warp to nearest station with docking. Belt bookmark should be 300km from belt and at least 160 km from undocking position to warp to it after undock.

Dont forget if you have the skills you can mine with a rorqual insted of the orca for better yellds
