I'm about to purchase a license for eve miner (and courier), but this post is about the miner bot.
I have my VMs set-up, my proxies, and my accounts.

But... I've been calculating what the ISK value of the various licenses are, and the amount of ISK that can be made using an Alpha Account and a Venture.

From calculating previous manual runs, I estimate I can produce roughly 1.2mil Veldspar per 10 hour day. Selling @ current Jita Prices, this comes to roughly 22mil ISK per day (10hr).

So. If I buy the 4.99 (30-day) license for miner, this translates to 110 Plex, or 329mil ISK.

At the above rates, that means to pay off this investment vs buying Plex straight from CCP, it will take 14 days. Now being smart, and only running the bot for 24 days out of the 30 (6 days/week), that only leaves 10 days of time to make profit, which is 218mil ISK for the 10 days.

I had thought of a way around this, having two VMs running two shifts, for different time periods of the day, from two different accounts, from different proxies, but after digging around on the site, I see that a license is only good for ONE character, and that is a huge bummer. I was prepared to buy a lifetime license until I read that.




Considering all the other work involved with using the bot (laundering the items/ISK, etc), 218mil profit is not very much AT ALL.

Honestly, the thing that kills this program is the limitation to a single character. Don't understand that design choice.

Of course purchasing the lifetime license would help this a lot, after its paid off, its paid off forever, but that takes a whopping 86 days to pay off before you start seeing profit in the investment.

Note: I understand once upgraded to a barge, and eventually a Skiff/Mack, the output rate of ISK will be MUCH higher, but I'm not willing to Omega my Bot account unless it can pay for its own Plex to do so, and at those rates, we are talking 6 months to do that with the above figures. I Omega my main accounts with a subscription as it is.

Right, but I'm weighing the "clean" way versus the dirty way.

$4.99 USD for 110 Plex from the EVE store for 100% hassle-free clean Plex/ISK.

Thats $0.05 cents per plex.
1 Plex roughly - 2.8mil to 3mil

110 Plex = ~329mil ISK
therefore
$4.99 = 110 Plex = ~329mil ISK

You're basing your figures on the lowest of the low mining vessel, what did you expect. Also, in terms of isk making mining is not a great way of making billions of isk anyway....train up a station trader and buy the EP trader license instead.

If you want to make max from your alfa account, use courier bot with amarr alfa clone (to fly abaddon industrial). The same $5 for a license, but result will be about 2kkk/month starting from 4 lvl agents. You need some leveling (skills, standings) even with alfa clone to make bot profitable.

Thanks for the suggestion Slav, I WANT a miner bot, I know thats weird, but I want one lol.
And I also intend to buy a Courier bot in addition to my miner bot (which I've already purchased), once I have the character for it set-up.

So... wanted to drop an update to this.
I went ahead an Omega'd my bot account, broke down lol.
Upgraded to a omni-tank procurer.
And from what I calculate now, just mining Veldspar (which I mine more than that, but for calculation purposes, Veldspar), I can mine roughly 800mil in a 10-day, 12-hour, cycle.

That pays for the license in only 3-4 days. That's not bad at all.


This is still with low skills, and only a tier 1 barge.

Keep in mind though: I ship my ore to Jita and sell it with my trade-oriented character. So I have lower taxes, and higher profits, selling in Jita is really great for Ore.
