Addendum:
BIG Issue - Mining Yield Calculations:
1. Before the bot checks mining laser info for time/yield, it needs to ensure it is within range of booster AND was in range during last time the boost module activated. Could check for the Icon in the effects bar.
With the new updated (+3%/Lvl) bonuses, I think boosting will yield more than it did before. My guess is somewhere between 7-12% more yield bonus than the current version.

Yeah, these issues are pretty challenging, hopefully Slav2 will weigh in and let us know. If we have at least 2 months, hopefully something can be done before then. Since we already buy a mining license to use a booster now (which essentially just sits there anyway), I feel that developing a more robust one is reasonable and would be profitable given the number of people who will want to use boosts in the on-grid era.
Is your math factoring in the loss of the 10%/15% passive benefit from Mining Foreman V/Mining Foreman Mindlink? I was under the impression that tilted it into the red.

So, it can be a grate opportunity to make some money selling a new bots.
it can resolve the problem with MTU as well (if orca/rorqual is used to booster) it can get the cans and looter can get it from the cargo fleet.
Other thing is booster can warp the fleet, undock all accs. Jump fleet/wing/squad to the bookmark. Booster is turned on. Accounts start to mining the designed ore. If ore 1 is depleted, start getting ore 2. So they can get any ore they need to pick up, of course need mining crystal change in belt implementation. Looter is going very slowly from bookmark1 to bookmark2 (in the same belt) or warp to next big stone in nearby bookmark., or warp to the next anomaly.
Other thing is mining drones and fight drones. I don;t know if is possible assigning mining drones to the booster, but fight drones you can. So only booster need to fight the rats or send drones to mining (and I can be used with the new mining drones that rorqual will get).
I know it is ease to imagine and difficult to do it, but i have faith on you guys! I know, VM and different computer will need to have some way to communicate, but it has been very long asked for, the same to mining drones usage. crystal change in the belt, and others... I know, drones is a problematic matter but you can charge as a add on for it. You can charge for extra modules that wasn't covered before, so you can make money, and get the incentive you need for the big work in this near future, and you can count on us to help with test, etc...
Best Regards

Respectfully, I think you're asking for a lot of functionality all at once without much consideration as to the complexity. I think I speak for many when I say it would be good to just have a booster bot that's capable of boosting fleets on-grid. If you ask for all these things at once, it seems less likely that Slav or anyone else will want to work on all of it. Let's start with keeping the functionality we already have before asking for the entire wish list for what it's worth, I'd also love prioritized ore selection and swapping mining crystals, but since I can't do that myself I won't demand it's made. I bought a miner license for my booster, I think it's more reasonable to ask that the functionality be preserved or else get a refund. See what I mean?

This is the problem. People don't want to pay! Refund, really? It wasn't working this way before. CCP is changing that not him! If it was a simple ting to do it, ok. Upgrade for free as usual. If it change he can charge for new module. It's my opinion, and of course I don't spect all those item working at the same time. He can have the time he need and he can sell for people that know doing this will demand time and time is money! Best regards!

Oh, I have no issue at all paying for any/all of those modules. I've just seen a lot of people post to request things and offer to pay over the years, and that doesn't seem to motivate Slav very well. I think you misunderstand what I mean when I talk about a refund, I didn't mean it as a threat. If he wants to make it a new product and charge for it, that's great, I'll happily pay for it because fleet boosting makes a huge difference in my miners' profitability. At the same time though, that new product is replacing an obsolete one that I already paid for. Many people paid 30 USD for the functionality of having a ship sit in space and run the modules. I think that's a good price for an on-grid booster too, so maybe he would let people exchange a mining license for one if he makes it a separate product. On-grid boosting might require multiple boosters, especially if you have miners spread out in different belts/anomalies. If you need multiple boosting characters, you would likely end up needing to buy many boosting licenses from him, so defraying SOME of that cost seems like a good business practice.
As far as the extra modules go, having worked in software engineering, I can tell you that you need to prioritize your requirements when communicating them to the actual programmers; if you ask for 10 things, he may pick a few to do but the one you REALLY needed might fall to the bottom of the pile. I just don't want him to get distracted by "nice to have" things when the "must haves" will be needed in 2 months.
