This would probably be difficult, but in travel mode, have the ability to set a system as "avoid".
Ep would check if the route would go through the avoid system, if so, temporarily ignore it on the list if no alternate route exists, and switch to the new destination.
Purpose of this would be to temporarily stay clear of a hot system.

That would be handy bot drop in on a incursion system had to shut bot down as to slow to warp to next waypoint ..phew

Miner is using autopilot generated route to move from system 1 to system 2. You may set avoided systems in eve manually (need to open starmap). But need to close eve and save settings of eve locally (option in tools) to have this applied after eve restart.
