Hi Just an observation but after yesterdays downtime the settings under user interface/text reverts to small text preventing the bot from opening windows and finally shutting down. has this been spotted before?

Yes, if you have such problem need to fix font size manually in a file. Open menu->tools->data folder. Locate file Client_1\Settings\core_public___.yaml and replace from:
ui:
__migrate_existing_font_size_settings_down_one_size__: [133470292930617032, true]
clientFontSize: [133470292930617032, 4]
To:
ui:
clientFontSize: [133470292930617032, 1]

This is eve client bug and as we all know if bug appeared, CCP has hard time to fix. You cannot even set (and fix its value) font size manually
