I just got VM all setup properly,

Created brand new alpha in the VM while using vpn, I played the tutorial myself.
I want to use the Abyss bot, but I likely need isk and skills for that,

How can I utilize this brand new alpha account and generate isk while I train the skills needed for abyssals?
Should I get miner bot and just mine in a venture in hisec a few hours per day?


Also,
I plan to run a few of these, what is safest way to get isk from farm to my main account?

If you created VM using VMSetup you can activate courier bot (need a license of a courier). All settings of a courier a ready for account sitting in a noob ship. Bot will generate initial ISKs, purchase skillbooks, inject them and train. When you have like 150m switch to abyss hunter with worm fit and T0 missions. When you have 300m more ISKs and DPS > 200 you can switch to T1.

If you did not generate buddy invite link better to recreate account as accounts with buddy invite links receive additional 1000000 skill point (~ one month of a training). You can create link using first account.

Don't run for more then 6h/day with brand new account. Wait couple of weeks and then increase time till 12h/day.

can I make bot use different settings somehow than when I launch it? I manually play myself sometimes, but then I need to re-run first run everytime i want to use bot again

You can create new profile in eve launcher and use it for manual play. Bot uses profile with name "default", the first profile available in launcher

I would not connect bot and main with direct ISK transfer besides if you already connected them by IP/account data. There are multiple ways besides character transfer. You can purchase character with bot, extract skills, erase char. As a rule seller is paying for transfer. Or use market, buy something from main for 200% of Jita price. Make sure orders are installed in advance and there is no competition or money will go to wrong account. Check what you can purchase to avoid attention. Courier may purchase obmer/kernite, miner - crystals, fw bot can purchase fit (ships, mods, ammo etc), abyss hunter may purchase filaments, bot needs a lot of them if used with frigate.

So, I would pay for the character from the bot, and have seller transfer to main account? Or buy with bot, transfer to another alpha account, extract/sell, then send isk to main?

I am thinking what is the difference. In both cases you need one transaction. First transaction within the same account, that is all the difference. First way is better imho. There are quite a lot of people who buy accounts to extract skills. Check character bazaar, they offer low prices for any available character with skills.
