So I had been running one auto trader on VM 12 using the windows 7 and instructions in the eve pilot manual, it worked but it was always a bit laggy so having read that VM 7 or 11 were recommended I thought I would try VM 7.

I installed VM 7 and windows 7 as per the instructions and downloaded the eve launcher, but when I run the launcher it just shows a white screen?! I know the launcher is running though, as I can access its menu by right clicking on the launcher icon in the task bar tray.

I've done lots of research and tried various bits and pieces recommended by ccp to fix it (including custom environment thing, etc.) to no avail, I'm just about to try VM 11 instead, but has anyone had any similar launcher issues and managed to fix this problem????

Open properties of eve launcher and in compatibility tab set to start launcher with WinXP compatibility mode.

I followed the VMWare instructions to the letter and I have the same issue. Compatibility doesn't fix it. If I turn of 3D acceleration in the VM settings the launcher works fine but the game does not start. With 3D acceleration on, the launcher still "works" (I can press the buttons) even though it's blank, so I can start the game, but then the game is very flickery and glitchy. I tried updating to VMWare 15 and updating VM tools (and setting DX9) but then the game will not start with 3D acceleration on or off (although now launcher works in both cases...)
