First run not required despite if you have problems with bot.
If you use EPLauncher command line tool and start bot with autostart parameter /a you may see a massage to update EPLauncher file. If you dont use autostart /a flag update eplauncher manually, take EPLauncher.exe file from zip archieve from download section of the site

If you used vmsetup to build VM update files manually from archive and rename files EvePilot.exe and EPLauncher.exe as required.
